This week's challenge was to show representation of liquid. I had recently been using watercolors and decided to experiement. I almost passed this picture up since it only showed a small drop of blue color. Then I looked a little closer. I found a little blue fish swimming in a mist of green swirls.

Week 4 of Let's Do 52
This week the challenge was to capture an unexpected perspective. I always love how Evan gets down on the floor to watch as his trains chug on by. So this is his perspective at play.

My Photographic Journey
This year I decided that not only will I do more paper scrapping, I will embark on a journey to improve my photographic skills and perspective. In this process, I hope to find my artistic voice, one that identifys who I am and reflects my experiences in life.
Two photographers have provided challenges to those of us looking to take the journey. First is Paint The Moon, which will offer a theme every week. MCP Actions has a theme for the month. I'm going to try to keep up and do as many challenges as I can. Here are the first couple of photos I have submitted. The first three are the weekly themes.

Using Photo Blends for CT Layouts
I always try to do something different when I get to work with a new digital kit. A paper in the iLive iLaugh iLove kit at Scrap Delicious gave me the right color and feel to go with the picture I took of "bad boy" Cameron. :) Using Paint Shop Pro, I added the photo on a layer, then masked it. I used a distressing brush to make portions of the pic visible.

Another layout using the kit. I layered a picture of the boys over a distressed paper, then blended it to bring out the the papers characteristics through the picture.

How long has it been since my last post? Forever. Really?! What have I been doing all these years. Well for one, my Dad fell ill in 2008. I shared taking care of him with my brother. My Dad passed away in early 2009. In late 2008, I began working as a classroom assistant with our local school district. I love my work!! But now I need to get back in the swing of things. I've recently joined a new Creative Team with ScrapDelicious. I no longer am on the teams for Aja Abeny and Stephanie Ogren. Looking forward to creating again. Hope to post new layouts soon. Happy to be back!!
